Services |

Transportation |
||
Personalized “door to door” transportation provided to medical appointments,
shopping, and other destinations for persons unable to drive. Care recipients must be ambulatory with or without a device (cane, walker, etc.).
Volunteers do not physically move persons from wheelchairs to vehicles. Services are provided to individuals who live independently in a home
or apartment in the community. We do not serve those who live in an assisted living that has transportation available as a part of the living arrangements. |

Errands |

Provide pick-up and delivery of groceries, prescriptions and other items. |
||
Social Contact |
||
Create a supportive
network for older adults so that isolation and loneliness can be alleviated
and overcome through friendly visitors and reassuring telephone calls.
Social contact can also serve as a safety assessment. |

Minor Home Repairs |
||
Assist with
minor home repairs and maintenance and yard work. |
||
Information and Referral |
||
Networking
information from the community & social service organizations and
making referrals that meet the needs of older adults is provided. |
||
Education |
||
Providing speakers
and participating in workshops that offer information and practical help
for individuals and families.
